
Race starts on the beach in front of North Curl Curl SLSC

Commencing in northern corner of North Curl Curl Beach, swimmers start on sand then wade/swim 150m to 1st marker buoy they then make a right hand turn and commence the swim south to South Curl Curl.
After approx 500m swimmers will pass half way marker buoy and continue to proceed to final buoy anchored 150m off South Curl Curl Beach in front of surf club.
Swimmers then round marker buoy and swim 25m out to sea they then make a left hand turn and commencing the swim back to North Curl Curl.
Swimmers will swim on the seaward side of the marker buoys and must swim on the seaward side at the halfway buoy.
At the North Curl Curl marker buoy swimmers turn left and return to shore and then cross the finishing line in front of the surf club, completing the 2km swim.
The course may be changed to a T shape, taking swimmers around the North Curly headland - watch this space !!

Following the Ocean Swim and the 3 Points Challenge, the top 3 female and male finishers in the 3 Points Challenge and the Ocean Swim will be invited to take part in an Invitational Dash for Cash. This event is a series of sprints through the surf break with a 75m swim out from the beach at North Curl Curl, finishing with a beach sprint up the sand, with the two competitors last across the line eliminated in each leg. Winners of each round win a share of the total cash pool of $700.
