
The 3 Points Challenge is a unique event, combining the skills of surf swimming with the stamina of cross country running, with competitors taking in breath taking scenery along the way.
Race starts on the beach in front of North Curl Curl SLSC

Commencing in northern corner of North Curl Curl Beach, swimmers start on sand then wade/swim 150m to 1st marker buoy they then make a left hand turn and commence the swim north towards Dee Why.
After approx 500m swimmers will pass half way marker buoy and take a right turn followed by another right turn on the T shapes course, heading back south towards South Curl Curl to make another right hand turn manouver.
Swimmers then round the bottom marker buoy and swim back to the gate they started at and make their way back to the beach, completing the course back in front of the North Curl Curl club house.

Following the Ocean Swim and the 3 Points Challenge, the top 3 female and male finishers in the 3 Points Challenge and the Ocean Swim (based on adjusted times) will be invited to take part in an Invitational Dash for Cash. This event is a series of sprints through the surf break with a 75m swim out from the beach at North Curl Curl, finishing with a beach sprint up the sand, with the two competitors last across the line eliminated in each leg. Winners of each round win a share of the cash pool.
